✶ Stained Glass Care Tips ✶

♡ HI FRIENDS! ♡

Thanks for checking out my stained glass care tips! The following is what I've found works best in caring for your piece. If you have any questions please contact me via instagram - that is the easiest way to reach us :)

Disclaimer - your stained glass piece is made with lead in the soldering holding it together. It is safe to handle, just be sure to wash your hands after handling and keep away from children or pets.

GENERAL CARE

Please secure your piece to your wall or window using a screw hook or nail. Suction cups are not recommended as they can fail, and do not want your piece to get damaged.

Oxidation is natural with the solder, so it may dull or accumulate a white crud that can be wiped away with a q-tip. To clean your piece, only use a gentle cloth and water, no harsh chemicals or acid based cleaners. Abrasive cloths or cleaners can scuff or damage the piece and remove patina (black or copper finish) over the solder.

You can wax your piece over time to restore shine and slow the oxidization process - caranuba car wax works fine.

PRESSED FLOWER PIECES

We use real pressed flowers and leaves with our pieces and fading is natural. To keep your flowers from fading as quickly, hang in indirect sunlight or in north facing windows.

When cleaning, be sure to never submerge your piece with pressed flowers in water or under running water, as the water could get between the glass causing mold or damage to the flowers. You can use a damp cloth to gently wipe the piece, drying immediately after.

SEND US PHOTOS!  :)

We would love if you sent us photos of your pieces at home so we can share them on our social media pages! We love so much seeing what we've made in your home, and get so excited when customers send us pictures! We hope you enjoy your pieces for many years to come!
